Prevent osteoporosis

There are three groups that are very prone to osteoporosis. The first are those who enter old age,in this period all the body's metabolism will drop,so the bones will also be problematic. The second group is women who have experienced menopause, and the third are those who rarely do physical activity.

Osteoporosis disease suffered by the parents are closely related to the production of some hormones decline of bone remodeling, such as calcitonin and sex hormones (estrogen and testosterone). With increasing age the production of these hormones will continou to decline.Calcitonin that will support the osteoblast cells to allow the occurrence of bone formation, its production would shrink after someone stepped on 50 years.Hormon estrogen will experience a decline in production at the age of 48-52 years.Where as testosterone production will shrink at the age above 70 years. This situation will get worse if in his youth consume less food and beverages that contain much calcium as milk and cheese,as well as consume less phosphorus.Consuming phosphorus and calcium in the growth period is very important, because both substances have a very vital role in the formation of bone mass (peak bone mass). If the days of their youth consume less calcium and phosphorus, the formation of bone mass they will not be made up to maximum. But after a certain period of time between the ages of 30-40 years, the bones will suffer a setback on its own function. So if at the time of the formation of bone calcium and phosphorus intake less than the maximum, someone will have an increased risk of osteoporosis at a younger age.In addition to the three vulnerable groups above, there are still some groups of people who are at high risk of osteoporosis. They are the sufferers hiperparatiroid (thyroid tumors),patient with anorexia nervosa, smokers, coffee drinkers and excessive drinkers.

Normal levels of calcium in the blood ranges from 10 mg% calcium content of less than 10 mg% can be categorized as hipokalsemik (calcium deficiency). In patients with osteoporosis there is a deviation from normal conditions, this was due to disruption of balance in both processes. In osteoporotic bone absorption process occurs faster and higher than the process of bone formation, bone loss occurs as a result.

Osteoporosis is a condition significantly reduced bone mass which results in low bone density. In this case will lose bone mass in large numbers so that strength will decline drastically. If only one-tenth of bone density decreases it will cause the risk of fracture two to three times more often.Symptoms of the disease is sometimes very unpredictable,so be aware. Most people realize osteoporosis when subjected to sudden fracture is usually caused by stretching the body, intersection,or even fall. All the bones are there in our bodies are vulnerable to osteoporosis.Location of fractures that often occur is in the neck area, upper thigh bone, spine and forearm bone area.Incidence of fractures is often preceded by an incorrect posture, for example when standing, walking or when lifting weights.Symptoms to the spine area is characterized by small fragments that cause the spine decreases vertically. This situation will make people shrink in height and shape of each segment change, from a square into a triangle shape.Situation will be more dangerous if the porous pressing spine spinal cord.If that happens the patient will feel pain in the waist, which then propagate to the foot.If this situation is left alone in the long run can lead to paralysis in the lower legs. Before it's too late it's good we do prevention of osteoporosis from this moment.Good way to delay bone loss is to build strong bone structure, especially for those who are under the age of 30 years. As for the steps that can be done to prevent osteoporosis include calcium and phosphorus,by eating in moderation, eat fibrous foods and vitamin D is enough, limiting the use of salt and the active exercise.
